Please note that for creating a desired fit, pattern and look of a product, alterations are required to be done by the customers.
In case the customer does not have access to local alteration facilities, Chikankari recommends the use of the safer measurement options offered by it, in order to minimize any chances of error:
- Buy unstitched items from us and get them tailored by your personal stylist or boutique.
- Try to choose as shown options to minimize errors.
- Try to choose from standard sizes as given in our size chart as risk is more if you choose customization option.
- Send your best fitting garment as sample.
PRODUCT RECEIVED IN DAMAGED CONDITION / MANUFACTURING DEFECT OR WRONG ITEM
On receipt, in case it is noticed that the outer packing of the product is damaged or tampered with, immediately verify the quality/quantity of the product against the invoice, before accepting the package from the courier agency. In case of any discrepancy, either refuse to accept delivery or accept delivery only after putting suitable remark on the proof of delivery. Customer should also lodge a proper complain with the local office of the courier agency, so that Chikankari may peruse the same in future, so as to avoid such occurrences in future.
In case of receipt of product in damaged condition or, with manufacturing defect or a wrong product has been received, kindly contact Chikankari- an art. A lifestyle at email@example.com, within 24 hours of receipt of product.
Kindly retain all packaging materials and product until receipt of instructions of the Chikankari regarding the same.
In case of any other complaints, email Chikankari at firstname.lastname@example.org, within 24 hours of receiving the product.
DO NOT return any product, before receiving confirmation from Chikankari- an art . a lifestyle for the same. In case any product is returned without such confirmation, Chikankari- an art. A lifestyle does not guarantee any credit or replacement of the product.
The email should contain comprehensive details of the defects/complaints of the single order/package delivery. Please note that Chikankari- an art. A lifestyle shall examine the returned products for all such defects/variations, on the basis of the customer's emails.
All defective products being returned to Chikankari shall be done ONLY through registered airmail/courier.
All shipping costs of returning the defective products back to Chikankari- an art . a lifestyle based at Ahmedabad, India over and above such amount paid by customer towards shipping charges while receiving the same from India are to be borne by the customer entirely.
All defective products ALONG WITH COPY OF INVOICE, ORIGINAL PACKING AND IN THE ORIGINAL CONDITION as sent to customer, shall have to be sent back to Chikankari- an art. A lifestyle within seven (7) working days from receipt of confirmation for the same from Chikankari- an art. A lifestyle. Safe receipt of defective product by Chikankari – an art. A lifestyle is sole responsibility of the customer.
While returning the defective product, kindly mark the package as 'DEFECTIVE RETURNS'. In case it is found on examination of product/invoice/order receipt that the error has occurred due to customer, then Chikankari- an art. A lifestyle shall make the necessary modifications/alternations, AT THE COST OF THE CUSTOMER. In the rare circumstances when original fabric is unavailable for purpose of such alterations/modifications, Chikankari- an art. a lifestyle may use plain fabric of the same color. CUSTOMER MAY HAVE TO BEAR THE COST OF SUCH REPLACEMENT FABRIC IN SUCH RARE CASES.
OBLIGATION OF CHIKANKARI-an art. a lifestyle Chikankari- an art. a lifestyle shall examine the products returned by the customer for such defects/variations as complained by the customer, and ensure remedial steps are taken immediately.
Chikankari- an art. a lifestyle shall send the replaced product at the earliest possible, at its own cost. In case the original product is no longer possible, you may be requested to select an alternate product( of the same price value), which shall be sent to you, at the cost of Chikankari- an art. a lifestyle.
Chikankari shall bear all costs for shipping and delivery of the altered/modified/alternate product alterations and modifications of the products. Chikankari shall not refund any amount under any circumstances, whatsoever.
In the event of the error having occurred on the part of the Chikankari- an art. a lifestyle, it shall still bear costs of alterations/modifications. Notwithstanding the above, Chikankari – an art . a lifestyle is under no obligation to accept any returns or provide any replacements or exchange or store credit. Chikankari- an art. a lifestyle shall have sole discretion to assess each case separately.
PARTIAL REFUNDSIn case of multiple products being ordered, if for any reason whatsoever, Chikankari – an art . a lifestyle is unable to deliver certain products, Customer shall be allowed to select an alternate product. However, in case customer does not wish to select any alternate products, Chikankari – an art. a lifestyle reserves the right whether to or not refund amount as against such non-deliverable products.
CREDIT ISSUESKindly note that credits against the Customer's credit card account normally takes three (3) business days to be processed. Thereafter, the corresponding bank of the customers may take about two (2) business days from the date of SS Associates ( Chikankari) processing the same, to show the said credits on the customer's accounts. Customer may check the credits in their next credit card statement.
PRODUCT DISCLAIMER The details of the products or product specifications (weight, color, handwork details, size, etc.) as shown on the website of Chikankari – an art . a lifestyle are only approximate values.
While Chikankari – an art . a lifestyle shall make all endeavors to ensure accuracy of order of the product, however; there may occur variations in color of the actual product against that as shown on the website, due to nature of fabric dyes, weather at the time of dying and differences in display output due to lighting and digital photography and color settings and capabilities of monitors.
A customer must place an order keeping in mind this minor variation in color as seen on the website as against the actual color of the product received.
The Customer may take note of the following:
1. The colors red, maroon and orange have a tendency to reflect a different shade than other colors. There may be certain variations between the product of such colors as seen on website and actual product.
2. The colors green and blue at times may overlap. Same is the case with off-white, white and cream colors.
3. Sea Green color sometimes looks Aqua blue and the other way around.
4. Products which are embellished with sequins, beads may have a tendency to come off, in spite of all prudent care.
5. Chikankari- an art . a lifestyle recommends the use of sample blouse/ sample salwar suit, size trial option, while placing orders for stitched products, in order to avoid errors of size/style, etc.
